Starlight Cruise Impressesat Itb Singapore
[:en]Starlight Cruise, the new luxury tour product of Oriental Sails Company, made a solid impression at ITB Asia,the reputable annual B2B tradeshow and convention held in Singapore from October 23 – 25.
The largest travel tradeshow in the world, ITB 2013 provides a venue for tourism companies to meet and seek opportunities and this year took place at the Suntec Singapore Exhibition and Convention Centre at Marina Bay Sands. Asia Pacific’s leading travel companies and emerging small and medium-sized enterprises got together with major international buyers in the MICE, Leisure, and Corporate Travelmarkets.
An estimated 750 buyers and 825 exhibiting companies from 73 countries attended ITB Asia 2013, and this was the first time Starlight Cruise was exhibited following its debut.
Oriental Sails Company shared a booth at the tradeshow with two other renowned travel agents from Vietnam: Luxury Travel and Asia King Travel. Oriental Sails held discussions and meetings with more than 40 new partners and spoke with over 100 representatives from different travel agents from countries such as Singapore, India, Malaysia, France, Germany, Russia, the US, Australia, and elsewhere, with Indian, Singaporean, and Malaysian companies accounting for the majority. By presenting itself at such a major global tradeshow, Starlight Cruise introduced itself as the newest member of the Oriental Sail Company. Starlight Cruise brought to ITB 2013 a professional image of a truly luxurious cruise with impressive and informative brochures and confident, experienced representatives and staff. In particular, the promotional programoffering a 20 percent discount on two and three day trip on Halong Bay drew significant attention from other companies looking for a good partner in Halong Bay tours.
Most of the partners Oriental Sails Company met at ITB were very interested in the unique selling points of Starlight Cruise. They were truly surprised by the bold idea of mini-golf and a secret wine-cellar onboard and spoke highly of its designed safety features,expressing a belief that Starlight Cruise stands out among other cruises on famous Halong Bay. All were greatly impressed by its outstanding concept as well as the quality the cruise offers guests. Moreover, they loved the friendliness and confidence of Starlight’s staff, who presentedthe new cruise with a professional attitude and behavior. Some even called Starlight a “new discovery” in the Vietnam travel market.
Olga A. Kolomeets, Managing Director of the Far Eastern Express Company, who cooperates closely with Vietnam’s largest travel agent,Saigontourist, was very much interested in Starlight Cruise and promised to book via Saigontourist. Meanwhile,BudimirKnezevic, Sales and Marketing Manager at the famous Asian Special Tours, also promised to support Starlight Cruise in the future.
After the tradeshow the image of Starlight Cruise as a new luxurious cruise on Halong Bay had taken hold in the minds of many individuals and companies, which was the goal of the Starlight team at this year’s ITB. The next stopfor Starlight Cruise in its bid to conquerthe global market will be at the most anticipated tourism event in the world: the World Travel Market (WTM) in London, England.
