Halong in the next 20 years – An emerald of Asia

[:en]It is hoped that in the next 20 years, Halong will become a green, dynamic city, an attractive tourism point all over the world and be shortlisted in the list of liveable cities in the world. This is also my desire, my wish to the beautiful Halong city in particular and Vietnam in general.

At the present time, Halong bay is a unique heritage that attracts many tourists domestically and internationally. Halong is expected to develop significantly, become a premium tourist attraction attracting tourists come by private planes and cruises in 2035. At that time, Halong city will no longer have fumes, instead of that, tourist will be surprised by the green of trees, grass, sky and water covered the entire city. There will be different in Halong travel, especially in tourism infrastructure and facilities. Halong will have a restaurant, hotel system which located under the water surface besides the floating houses, the existing yachts. Or in another case, you can have opportunity to relax in a two-floor house which one floor under water, the other above water. In the next 20 years, all cruises will become luxury, elegant and convenient, all of them will have admitation to bring tourists to pristine islands of Halong bay, where they can have kayaking in the lake on the islands, explore nature and enjoy sunset on the beach. I also can hope that there will be hundreds of artificial islands, connecting Halong bay with Co To, Quan Lan, Minh Chau island. At here, in addition to basic services, you can visit marine museums and models of Van Don trading port. Visitors come to Halong will receive optimal services; feel most satisfied with attentive reception as well as team of dedicated and skilled tour guides. For example, Halong tourism companies will organize a “super VIP” tour for 1-2 people or households in a pristine island. At here, they will benefit the services of a luxury hotel along with unprecedented experiences in life (diving, watching corals, sightseeing Halong bay from seaplanes, climbing to explore the island, fishing in the reservoirs, and drinking coffee in the caves and so on).

Of course, in order to make Halong become an emerald of Asia in the next 20 years, there are lots of things to do. It needs the cooperation of local government and involved organizations as well as visionary zoning plans. Besides, human factor should be taken seriously. They have to learn, to be trained in tourism industry and have experiences in how to do tourism or just how to manage a hotel. If these things come true, we totally can hope for a green Halong – an emerald of Asia in the near future.[:]
